Trinity Missions Update 8/9/19

Trinity Missions Update 8/9/19

Hi, Missions Team!

Here's the update for this week.

Team Meeting:

Our missions team meeting has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 18th at 8:30am in the overflow room.  Most of our time at this next meeting will be spent discussing new candidates for missionary funding. We will typically plan to meet the 2nd Sunday of every month, except on months where we schedule a longer meeting (details TBD).

Team Roles:

Survey results are in!  We are so excited to see the way God works through this team by us each serving in our giftings.  Here are the new role assignments:Missionary Care:  Diane & CarolFunding & Team Leadership:  David & ReaganPublicity & Events:  JanetMobilization:  John(Donald & Stephanie will be transitioning out at the end of the month to move to Canada for Donald's schooling.  😢)Clarification on funding role:  No one listed this as their top preference, and it's a big job at the moment, so we decided to take it for now.  This may change down the road as the team eventually grows in size.

Praying for Missionaries:

Here is a collection of our missionaries' most recent prayer requests.  This document will be updated as prayer requests are received.  We would especially encourage you to lift up the Salcedos and Anand and his family.  They have been dealing with some challenging things. * Please note that some of the Salcedos' requests are meant to be shared with the missions team, Trinity pastors, and Trinity elders only.  If you choose to share this document with anyone outside these circles, please use this edited version. To better streamline the process for missionary prayer requests, we have reassigned each of the missionaries to either Carol or Diane as their Trinity contact.  Janet will make sure they are communicated via Enews, Prayers of the People, etc. Here are the new Trinity contact assignments:Diane:  Tim & Aletha Salcedo, Juan Arjona, Suzanne BergstedtCarol:  Jason & Elizabeth Polk, RUF-UCI (Derek Rishmawy), Anand

That's it for this week.  Thankful for you all!- David & Reagan

The Mission Task Force of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Orange County exists to glorify God by obeying the call to make disciples of all nations, through personal engagement and in partnership with other Christians who proclaim the love of the Father, trust in the renewing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and abide by the work of the Holy Spirit.
