Summer Session Here We Go!

Hi, !

Short Version (1 min.)

Summer Semester has started: Classes started for me on June 12th and are slated to continue until early September. I'm currently working with one of my class mentors to have regular online meetups so that we can discuss what I'm learning and how I'm able to apply it to daily life and ministry. This semester I am continuing with Greek II and Pauline Epistles. It's only been a couple weeks, but gosh I'm already rusty again.

Personal Accountability: I've started Exodus 90, a fasting and prayer regimen, with a group of guys in OKC. Originally developed for Catholic seminarians, I've adapted it to align with Protestant convictions. It's been pretty challenging (more on that soon) but effective, helping me stay focused and anchored in God rather than just a textbook subject during my studies. Grateful that the Lord has brought 4 other brothers to join me for the next 90 days.

Nonprofit status: We just finished working on the Bylaws with the board. Here's a quick update on who our new board members are: President: David Ta, Vice President: John Ha, Secretary: Albert Tan, Treasurer: Ben Liao, and Member at Large: Rob Cho. There are a couple more modules to go before we can file with the IRS.

Reagan and I have finally established weekly connection days as part of our rhythm. Our dates had been a bit more sporadic since we moved to OKC. But we're grateful that we are slowly moving toward a more sustainable rhythm for work/school, family, and marriage. Believe it or not OKC has a place that sells authentic X'ian Biang Biang noodles! Don't have to go to NY anymore haha.

Support Update:

Our financial support goal has increased to account for inflation, seminary costs, and our family's needs. We are at 100% of our needs for the 2024 ministry year. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. MINISTRY OF COFFEE Just as the apostle Paul relied on making tents to fund his missionary trips, we also started a coffee business to supplement our income. Let us know if you'd like to try any samples or like to replace your current coffee subscription! There's nothing like fresh roasted coffee. Soooo good! All proceeds directly support our family.
