🔴 Ministry Letter: A Quick Prayer Request for 2023

Hi, !
TL;DR
Plan for the next 3 years I am back in school this week! Reagan and I have been busy mapping out what the next 3 years look like. The short answer is, to continue towards finishing seminary by 2025, complete the PCA ordination internship, and explore the possibility of receiving a ministry call with RUF International. Pray for strength and discipline while Reagan adn I balance everything.
Personal & Family Evangelism Spotlight Yessss some more updates on this! See some prayer requests below. We got three avenues of outreach going. Please pray that gospel continues to permeate through all these interactions.
Ukraine Family is coming! The team was recently matched with a family of three - a mom, dad, and teenage son - who are from Mariupol and have lost their home since that city has been devasted by the war. Our Ukraine team is looking into short-term housing options for the family when they first arrive. Ideally, this would be free housing or at very reduced rates. Housing could be spare bedrooms or a whole space.
Still Waiting for Approval for Cost of Living Adjustments For this year's cost of living adjustments, we are asking our board to approve us to increase our support raising ceiling. This is so that we can raise an additional amount to match the low income requirements of a family of 6 according to the US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA HUD Metro FMR Area. Pray that we would have unity with our leadership in coming to a consensus together.
Long Version (~5 min)
Hi Family,Praise1. For Zaira: First off, I have great news to share. Zaira, the mom that you all have been praying for is continuing to come to church. It's been over 6 weeks now! She's still going strong. For the first time this week, Zaira even came out to bible study with Reagan. It's been a real blessing to see her be curious about the faith and continue to dig deeper into her story and how it relates to Jesus. Pray for protection for her that Satan would not snatch away or hamper her faith.Prayer Request:1. For Brittany, Karrie, and other moms at the park: There are several mom's we can pray for, but for today Reagan is out right now (it's 10:30 am) and outreaching out to a mom (Brittany) she met at the park last year or so. It's been a series of touchpoints to get to this point, but the exciting news is that Reagan, Judah, and Ezra are at Brittany's son's birthday party now. If you get a chance, will you pray that God would continue to bless their time today and that he would protect the relationship and open a door for Reagan to witness? We know the mom does not have much of a spiritual background so it would be a new ground to break through. 2. For Edgar & Winnie (neighbors): these are two neighbors that Reagan and I have the privilege to meet for lunch this afternoon (yes at 12:00pm). Would you pray that our picnic time at Ron Foel Park would be filled with peace and joy? Pray that we would have some strength as well to chase Judah and Ezra around. We're hoping to grab some lunch with them and connect after 2 years of trying to connect with them. These neighbors live right next to our building and we run into them almost every week or so. Pray that we would get to know them, hear their story, and have the opportunity to someday share the gospel with them. 3. For Jayden (my cousin) & coffee ministry: this one is for the family and business. For those of you who may already know. I've started a coffee business recently to explore potential ways of supplementing our family's growing needs. Childcare and children's products have gotten crazier and more expensive and the cost of living, in general, has been up. But more than that, I've had the opportunity to use this new venture as a neutral ground for ministry. Not only have I had a chance to have folks over to roast coffee together, but we get to talk about life, Jesus, and their own personal struggles. Jayden is my youngest cousin, someone who I've had the privilege to connect with the last couple of years and it's been a joy to roast with him last week. He's a smart guy, curious, and growing. Pray that Reagan and I can care for and love him well. I do believe this is a new exciting avenue to not just invite people into the joy of coffee, but the joy of what life is all about, which is connecting and doing things together in Christ. Pray that the Lord will continue to bless those that we invite who love coffee and that they will along find a door to way witness the love of Christ.Thank you for your faithful giving and support. We definitely can't do this work without you all!In Christ,David, Reagan, Judah, Ezra, Joy, and Evy
How About You?
We try to take some time each day to pray for our ministry partners, and we like knowing we are praying for specific, current things in their lives. , we would love to hear an update on your life and how we can pray for you.
Support Update:
Because we receive oversight for the funds that we raise, we have to work with our board of elders and finance team to determine a new standard of living each year. They make sure we have enough to pay rent and live, and we are held accountable for how we use the funds. For this year's cost of living adjustments, we are asking our board to approve us to increase the ceiling so that we can raise the low income requirements of a family of 6 according to the US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA HUD Metro FMR Area. We have almost 87% of our needs for this mid 2022-23 ministry year.If this new income requirement is approved, we will need to raise an additional $1340 USD per month to hit our goal for basic needs. Here is a breakdown of what this could look like:MONTHLY DONATIONS 1 person at $500 per month 2 people at $300 per month 2 people at $100 per month 3 people at $50 per month 3 people at $25 per month 1 person at $5 per month 1 person at $1 per monthOne-time donations are also great and can be broken down this way:INDIVIDUAL ONE-TIME DONATIONS 1 person at $2500 1 people at $2000 3 people at $1000 6 people at $500 7 people at $250 12 people at $100 1 person at $71.99With rising inflation and our family growing, would you consider praying about a possible increase in funding or help refer us to new potentially interested partners? We'd love to meet with them in person or on Zoom and share the vision of this ministry with them! Please pray for God's provision as always. If you're interested in fresh coffee let us know we can roast for you a 12oz bag! Every bag helps us pay for diapers and sposies! If you would like to learn more on how you can partner with us, you can ask us, check out our website, or click the button below!
