Mercy Monday 4/15/19

Hello, everyone!Thank you so much for your willingness to be a part of Trinity's Compassion Team for this next season.  David and I are excited to work with you all as we seek out and facilitate opportunities for Trinity to serve Orange County.Starting this week, we are going to start sending out weekly "Mercy Monday" e-mails, which will include updates on current Compassion Team projects and ideas to be considering for the future.  I am including a few people in our update group who would like to stay in the loop as advisors and helpers to our team:

  • Charlie & Gini have had many years of compassion ministry experience and has provided some resources for us to possibly use in building structure into the team and ministry.

  • Kris and Melissa are facilitating the current project with Skyview and will continue in this role as their community group serves there.

  Skyview Donation Drive:

The last day to drop off socks and underwear is Easter Sunday.  If you have donations, please place them in the labeled box in the church foyer.  This is a great opportunity for us to invite our friends at church to get involved in a simple, tangible way.  If you are part of a Trinity Bible study or community group, I encourage each of you to share about this opportunity with the people there.  For now, we are supporting Kris & Melissa's community group as they partner with Skyview on a regular basis.  We will continue to explore a church partnership with Skyview through these monthly drives and as our team decides on guidelines for the opportunities we take on.

Team Meeting:

Can we put our first team meeting on the calendar for 12pm on Sunday, May 26th, at church?  Thanks, all!  Please let me know if you have any thoughts or questions.

The Compassion Ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Orange County seeks to serve people and communities in Orange County outside our church body by alleviating physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs, as well as sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through both words and actions.
