Hi, !

The Snapshot

News:

  • Like many around the world, COVID-19 has greatly affected us and those in our community.  How do we serve in this time?

  • The international student outreach last month went well!

  • We are at 96% of our monthly support goal!

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for God's will to be done in this coronavirus-wreaked world.  Pray for many to turn to Him and for the Church to be His loving hands and feet to all, especially to the most vulnerable.

  • Pray for God to work in the hearts of the international students who got to hear the Gospel, that He would draw them to Himself.  Pray for many of the students who are still here in the States, as many are likely lonely, scared, and worried about their families back home.  Pray for God to be near them and to provide support and care for them during this time.

  • We praise God for His provision.  Please pray that He would provide the remaining 4% of our needed support.

The Story

Like many of you, life is looking a lot different from what we expected right now.  The coronavirus pandemic has drastically affected the lives of millions all over the globe, whether they themselves have been infected, they know someone who has, or they are in quarantine in order to keep themselves and others from contracting it.  All around us, there is fear, there is uncertainty, there is restlessness, there is waiting.

How do we as Christians understand this current reality? And how do we engage in it the way Jesus would? How do we practice wisdom, love, preference for the needs of others over our own, and kingdom-minded mission?

As we quarantine separately, let us be unified in our zeal for the Father, for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Let us be constant in prayer.Let us be intentional in connection with others.Let us share our resources with those in need.

We want to hear from you on ways we as followers of Jesus can live on mission during this time.  Please share your ideas or how you are doing it!

International Student Outreach

One nice thing about the forced pause on normal life is the time we have to reflect on and celebrate how God has been at work.

You may recall that, in our

, we asked you to pray for the international student outreach event in San Diego, where we celebrated Lunar New Year.  It happened!  We are so thankful for the 3 friends from our church who went down with us.

One of the friends told us on the way down, "I am coming just to observe and see how this is done.  Next time we do this, I'll talk with the students."

Later that evening, we found her conversing, laughing, and sharing the Gospel with two Brazilian students, whom she invited to come visit her home anytime they wanted.  "We will be there, 100%," they responded emphatically.

Check out the video below to see the event in action.

Due to a potential safety threat to students coming from nations that are hostile to Christianity, PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD, POST, OR SHARE THESE PHOTOS OR VIDEO without our permission.

Please pray for these international students!  Pray that the Holy Spirit would be at work in their hearts and give them faith to believe the Gospel message they heard.

Despite college campuses closing all over the country, many international students are still here in the States.

Pray for them, as many are probably lonely and worried about their families back home.  Please pray for God to be near them and to provide support and care for them during this time.

How About You?
