Compassion Update 5/31/19

Hi, Compassion Team!
Here's the update for this week, where we will cover the topics we addressed in our Sunday meeting. Please read and then take a few minutes to complete the short survey at the end. Thanks!
Team Meeting:
We got to hold our first Compassion Team meeting this past Sunday! Click here for the agenda and notes from the meeting. We will be holding our monthly team meeting at 12pm on the last Sunday of each month. Our next meeting will be Sunday, June 30th.
Team Roles:
We talked about some ideas for roles for each person on the team so we can work together more efficiently. Those roles can be found in the agenda. Please review and pray about which role you can take on!
Skyview:
Partner Questionnaire: As we discussed in the meeting, Charlie Walker provided us with a questionnaire we will be using to gather information about organizations with which we are interested in partnering. Reagan will begin filling it out for Skyview. This will need to be completed and approved by the CT before we add any new Skyview projects. You can view the questionnaire here. Donations: full-size hygiene items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouth wash, lotion (unscented), washcloths, loofahs, hairbrushes, combs, and feminine sanitary pads. Donations are due by June 9th. Thank you, Carissa, for setting up the donation box!
Family Promise:
Family Promise is a community based approach to solving homelessness, engaging both the local community as well as houses of faith in the effort to combat family homelessness. Families in our program receive a full complement of resources, support and training as they work towards their own stability and self-reliance. (source: their website)As Family Promise (FP) works with these families (often no more than 5 families total), they temporarily house them in churches or other "houses of faith." A neighboring church, First Christian Church of Orange, will be hosting June 30-July 6 and October 20-26 this year. They have asked Trinity if we would be interested in helping them. Their online volunteer sign-up form provides specific details on volunteer roles and available slots. Click here to view.(Since we have partnered with FP a couple times in the past, we don't need to complete the questionnaire first.)
Survey:
We have covered a lot of topics in this update! To make the response process as easy as possible, we have created a survey for each team member to complete.
Please submit your answers by Tuesday, June 4th.
(Don't be intimidated. We promise it's quick and easy.)
That's it for this week! We are so thankful for all of you!- David & Reagan
