• We are kicking off, Stories of the People. This is a new way of giving God one story at a time: short, simple, regular.

• We want to hear an update from you and ways we can be praying for you!

  Prayer Requests:

• Please pray for the next 3 months of support raising. We had to slow down during the last two months for David to start seminary again. We are hoping to finish the fundraising process by August 31st. We have about $2,317 more for our monthly need. 

• Please pray for humility and wisdom as we figure out a good rhythm of managing projects for the ministry amongst the 3 buckets of compassion, mission, and HTBM.

  The Story:

Family,

Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve last been able to update you. It’s been a little over 11 months now since we’ve started How to be Missionary-ish (HTBM) in partnership with Trinity Presbyterian Church of OC. Within the last few months, we’ve had the great privilege to work alongside God and see Him move in very unexpected ways. The normal mundane things are the means of His displaying of His gentle grace. I am excited to report back to you that there is a little flame of hope that is growing. After months of refining, reviewing, and revisiting our mission, things have been brought into much greater clarity. God is continuing to affirm us to walk forward in our ministry here in Orange County.We are continuing to answer the call in the following ways:

1. Caring for existing missionary partners of Trinity

2. Meeting the gap between the church and the missionaries

3. Helping the local church live missionally (Trinity & others)

4. Figuring out how to live compassionately in the community

From caring for the homeless to reaching out to our neighbors, these past few months have been chock full of stories. Stories of how God has been great in the midst of our weaknesses.We are so so thankful for all of you who have supported us in faith as we were still figuring out the new ministry. You have trusted God’s call on our lives have humbled us deeply by your love and desire to partner with us even though we are ourselves were still trying to figure things out.Because of your financial support and prayers, we have been able to enter into very interesting territory here in Orange County in ways that we would have never even imagined possible. Over the next quarter, we hope to focus more on telling stories of what God is doing in various spheres of our ministry, giving you greater clarity of our mission as well as opportunities to share in the joys of His work. We are calling this new series Stories of the People.

Money in the Bank 

We are thankful that God is bringing more people to partner with us.  We are currently receiving 69% of our financial goal each month.  Our next goal is to reach 100% of our monthly giving by August 31st, 2019.  This means we need an additional $2,317/month.  Like we have said before, we would love to have as many possible be a part of what we are doing, whether they can give 1 penny or $100.  If you would like to learn more about partnering with us, you can ask us or click the button below!
