  Prayer Request:

• Please pray for our neighborhood outreach on July 4th. Pray for protection and that people we invite would come.

• Pray for continued perseverance as we try to raise awareness and support for our ministry here in OC.

• Please pray that God will continue to provide people who have a desire to partner with us financially in our ministry. Praise God we are at 72% of our current needs.

  The Plan:

Hello Family,

This week, Reagan and I are gearing up for 4th of July and doing something completely new. We are hosting a block party (except our house is not on a block, but you get the idea). Having grown up in the OC, I've never actually reached out to the neighbors that I grew up with--granted, I wasn't a believer at the time--but regardless, God has convicted us to step out of our comfort zones. This is not what you do in OC. In fact, what you should do is build a wall, make laws with the HOA, and try to ignore everyone around you. This, for me, is new, daunting, and personal. Unlike San Diego, Anaheim isn't a place I had spiritual renewal. Unlike Bangkok, I am not dealing with mostly non-Christians and a clear vision. The demand for personal accountability in my outreach life isn't as demanding. Anaheim doesn't put that type of pressure on us.Anaheim is part of the post-Christian culture now:  hyper-isolated, private, and superficial--yet yearning to be known. Twenty-five years ago, I would have never dreamed of doing this in our neighborhood. My folks would have said no, and I would have been happy to follow along. But times have changed, and the fight is now brought home. What does it mean to love my neighbor? We've mapped out the neighborhood. So far, we've been able to make friends with about 3 or so units, including the community garden director, Tim. I've circled the ones that I've come to know...Will you help us be a neighbor by praying?

Money in the Bank 

We are thankful that God is bringing more people to partner with us.  We are currently receiving 72% of our financial goal each month.  Our next goal is to reach 100% of our monthly giving by August 31st, 2019.  This means we need an additional $2,128/month.  Like we have said before, we would love to have as many possible be a part of what we are doing, whether they can give 1 penny or $100.  If you would like to learn more about partnering with us, you can ask us or click the button below!
